- Sonic Rainboom: An aerial stunt she performs that is characterized by a brightly-colored ring that expands from the point of the sonic rainboom’s occurrence, followed by a shockwave and a rainbow wake trailing behind.
Physical Description: Rainbow is a blue pony with blue wings expanding from her back. Her mane and tail are the colors of the rainbow, her eyes are purple and her cutie mark consists of a cloud with a rainbow lightning bold protruding from it. She is constantly seen wearing a mischievous smirk upon her lips.
Personality: Rainbow represents the spirit of Loyalty because of her dedication to her friends and the Wonderbolts. Despite this, she can be quite brash and because of her confidence in her abilities she can come off as lazy to others. Although this is not true for she is indeed a very hard working pony, she just does her work extremely quickly.
Rainbow is also very competitive and athletic. She has a passion for winning and is constantly challenging her friends to competitions. The flip side of this though, is that she is a terrible loser. She claims to “hate losing” and once used her wings to cheat so that she could win a game.
And lastly, Rainbow is very mischievous. She has an extensive reputation as a prankster and is always trying to pull a fast one on her friends.
History: Rainbow was the first in her class to acquire her cutie mark. She gained it when Fluttershy was being bullied by other ponies, and in an attempt to help her out, she challenges the bullies to a Pegasus race. During the race she finds her passion for going fast and winning and performs her first Sonic Rainboom, which gives her the cutie mark.
Rainbow attempts to perform another Sonic Rainboom in a competition but fails her first 2 tries. When Rarity, who was given temporary wings by Twilight, is in trouble, Rainbow races to rescue her and performs her second Sonic Rainboom in the process. She is crowned the winner and races off to spend the day with her heroes, the Wonderbolts.
For a week, Rainbow Dash was accepted into the Wonderbolts Academy. She is paired up with a pony named Lightning Dust whom she befriends. During her week there, the Captain of the Wonderbolts, Spitfire, attempts to win a competition more quickly by creating a tornado which causes Rainbow’s friends to be put in danger when their hot air balloon gets sucked in. Rainbow saves them and quits the academy, thinking they reward ponies for being reckless, but Spitfire catches up with her and apologizes for it. Rainbow is then awarded the lead pony badge for her rescue of the other ponies.
Other: Rainbow has a pet turtle named Tank, which she received as a gift from Fluttershy.
