Plot Summary:Twilight is now a princess of Equestria! A month after her coronation she has moved into the Canterlot Castle. After getting settle into the castle, Celesita and Luna hold a party to celebrate. During the party Twilight suddenly collapse and was rushed to the hospital. After tests it was concluded that she was given a sleep potion. Celestia then summons the other mane 6 members and Spike back to the castle and explain to them that the cure to sleep potion requires a rare flower which is located in Python. She explains to them that Python is the homeland of the dragon race. Mane 6 and Spike agree to go on the journey and Celesita declares them as the Knights of Equestria and the protectors of Princess Twilight. So the mane 6 and Spike head out on their journey and find it's no easy task.
Details on any necessary information: The roleplay will start with the mane 6 and spike starting out on their journey. The flower they are looking for is called Solem which is Latin for sun (because the sun is out in the morning? Get it? Because you're awake in the morning?). The roleplay will focus on Spike's growth as the character and the bond of the other members of the mane 6. Queen Chrysalis is the one who gave Twilight the potion and will do anything to stop her friends.

Rarity rushed around her room gathering her belongings for her long journey. As she was packing her bag she kept running into her furniture due to not paying attention. Rarity's mind was exploding with so many thoughts. She found herself thinking about her friend Twilight's condition and the journey that was at hand. She felt very anxious about traveling outside of Equestria. It would be first time time leaving the country. Plus it was a country of dragons! She hoped that dragons they would meet along the way would be helpful and friendly.

After packing up her bag, she used her magic to placed it on her bag and she left her shop. Before leaving she changed the the sign on the door to say closed instead of open. Rarity then headed over to the Golden Oaks Library retrieve Spike.

All Spike could think about what Twilight. Who had done this to her? He kept trying to figure out when she could have been slipped a potion, but he couldn't pin it down. He packed for the trip to a homeland he had never seen slowly, as if on auto pilot. He couldn't think. Was this his fault? If he had been more careful, could this all have been prevented? Twilight was his best friend, more of a mother than he had ever known and she was in danger. Somehow deep inside he felt responsible. His packing finished, he walked up stairs to her room and sat on the bed.

"Oh Twilight, what do I do?" he asked the picture of them on the nightstand. He picked it up. His claws tapping on the wood frame. "How can I go anywhere without you to keep me out of trouble?" He asked tears coming to his eyes. He knew that Rarity would be here soon and the 6 of them would start their journey. To his homeland, it didn't feel like home, it felt like he was leaving Twilight when she needed him most, but wasn't he off to find the cure for her? To save the pony that was in nearly all aspects his mother?

His resolve grew and his determination to find the flower and get it back to Twilight was stronger than ever now. Yes he would save her, with the help of the others that loved her just as much as he did. They were her Knights, and they had to job to do.

Springing from the bed, picture still in his claws he raced down stairs. Placing picture in his bag, he zipped it closed and took off towards the door. He would meet Rarity outside. The sooner they started the sooner he got his best friend, and mom back.

"Come on, Spike, we're going to save Twilight!" He said closing and Locking the door behind him, not knowing when he would see that door again.

Applejack waited in the town square hoping the others were on their way. The country pony felt uneasy about the whole situation because they would be up against dragons and let's face it they weren't the most civilized of critters excluding Spike. She had become quite fond of the baby dragon especially after saving her life. She hoped this would be a quick journey and that they could fetch the flower and get back home safe and sound. She knew that Big Mac, Granny Smith, and Apple Bloom could handle the farm while she was gone, but she still didn't like being gone for long periods of time, but she guessed it couldn't be helped. They had to save Twilight before it was too late.

On the way to Golden Oaks Rarity wondered if Spike was doing okay. At all of everypony Twilight's condition affected Spike the most. After Celesita telling them about their journey, Rarity and other mane 6 met together to talk about Spike's role in the journey. She told the others immediately that she would look after the baby dragon. She felt it was her duty seeing he's still a baby. Plus out the group she was the second closest to Spike.

She arrived at Golden Oaks and saw Spike standing outside. She could see how his face that he was trying to look tough. She gave him a friendly smile.

"Glad you're ready to go, Spike," she said to the baby dragon. "The others are waiting for us in Town Square. So let's not keep them waiting."

Queen Chrysallis looked deep into her crystal orb deep under the caves of Canterlot. She watched as Twilight Sparkle's pitiful pony pals set out on their journey to find the solem flower. She had conviently used a potion that entailed the only cure to be found in the most dangerous part of Equestria: Python. She had a lot of surprises for her little "group" and knew they would make easy prey without their fearless leader to guide them. Twilight had the strongest magic she had ever seen, and she knew without it the six of them would have a hard time defeating her. The elements of harmony would be useless without the element of magic. They would all subcum to her traps soon. This was going to be a piece of cake. Twilight Sparkle would never wake up and without the elements of harmony she would rule all of Equestria.

Spike looked up at Rarity and nodded. Taking his bag in claw he started walking towards the Square. He wasn't sure where his mind was but he was sure it was with Twilight. He missed her. She would know what to say to him right now. Twilight always had a way of saying the right thing at the right time. He needed her now more than ever and he was away trying to save her life. 'Oh Twi, I hope we get back in time.' He thought as he walked with Rarity. "Hey Rarity." Spike started unsure of what he wanted to say. "Let's hurry and get this flower." Tears were hiding in his voice. He was still just a baby, he felt like he had lost his world. Keeping his tears at bay he saw Applejack's pale coat in the distance and forced a small smile. He always wanted to know where he was from, he just thought that Twilight would be with him on this journey.

"Hey Aj." He spoke as they approached her. "Ready to go?" He asked keeping his sorrow as best he could from his friends.

Applejack smiled at Spike and gave him a reassuring pat on the head.

"I promise you we'll find that flower and get it back to Twilight as soon as possible! Don't you worry about a thing ya hear me?" she winked trying to lift Spike's spirits.

Rarity smiled at AJ for trying to cheer up Spike. She glanced around the area wondering what was taking Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. The train for Python would be leaving in 30 minutes. She started think that meeting in the town square was a bad idea. They should have met up at the train station instead.

"I do hope the others are on their way," she spoke to AJ and Spike. "It would be terrible if we missed the train."

Spike was off in his thoughts still. He couldn't help but feel like this was his fault and now his best friend was slowly dying and his friends had to take a dangerous trip to find a flower. This all seemed so un real. Almost like it was happening to another Spike. He vaguely nodded at Applejack's words, and didn't really hear Rarity speak. He was still lost. He knew he had to pull out of this funk and fast or he would be no help to anyone, let alone the one pony who needed him most.

"What's taking the others?" He asked looking up at Rarity. He didn't want to miss the train. He was shocked that there was even a train that ran to Python at all. He guessed he shouldn't be too surprised. Celestia was on their side after all. That pony princess could make some scary things happen if she wanted to, and a train to dragon country seemed to be the least of what she could do. Why she didn't go get the flower Spike wouldn't understand, if she loved Twi as much as she said she did then she should be here too.

"Come on, we have to get to the station. I'm not going to miss that train even if I have to get on it alone." He said taking his small bag in his claw. It wasn't like him, to say that, he knew it, but he wasn't feeling like himself. No he wasn't himself at all, he had left who he used to be laying asleep and dying with Twilight while this new him went to find the way to save her.

Suddenly three other ponies bounded towards the group. Rainbow Dash was practically dragging fluttershy because she had refused to come. She kept muttering something about big scary dragons before RD tossed her to AJ.

"What is going on?" AJ gave them a curious look.

"Well Miss. Scardeypony here didn't want to come when I told her Python was full of dragons. Got any rope? We can hogtie her." RD suggested causing AJ to roll her eyes.

AJ looked down gently at Fluttershy, "Fluttershy it's going to be okay! You're one of the bravest ponies I know, and you had no problem telling that dragon where to go that time the smoke was covering the town." AJ reminded her bug only got the response of scary dragons again.

"Well so much for that." AJ groaned dragging Fluttershy by the tail towards the train station. She could hear RD snickering in the background, while Pinkie Pie was signing a random song. AJ knew one thing for sure and that was this was going to be a long trip. How did she always get suckered into doing these things? She would never know.

Fluttershy did not want to go. "I-i don't think I should go. Who'll look after Angel-bunny?" She said trying everything she could to stay away from Dash. "It's not like you girls will need little me out there." She said again. Well for all her pleading and trying to hide, she was on her way to the station with the rest of the girls. She knew this was important but she still didn't like the idea of big scary dragons. She liked Spike, he was sort of pocket sized but adults, that scared her. Well for better or worse, she was on her way to Python.
At AJ's words all Fluttershy could do was squeak. She really didn't like the idea. Thus she found herself being dragged to the station.


Spike missed all the action with the arrival of the others. He was already sitting in his seat when the others showed up. He looked up as they boarded. He was relived to see them. He really thought that for a moment he would have to go this alone. Fighting back tears, he smiled as best he could. It was a sad smile but the first they'd seen since Twilight went into her coma. "I thought you girls weren't going to make it." He said, relief in his voice. "I am so glad you did though." He said wiping a tear away.

Rarity shook her head and spoke, "Darlings this is not the time to goof around! We are on a serious mission. Fluttershy, Twilight needs us so it's time act like a big pony right now."

She then boarded the train and sat down next to Spike. She got a notebook and a quill out of her bag by using her magic. Since Twilight wasn't here Rarity decided that she would keep everypony organized. She wrote down a to do list:

*Find a visitor center that has a map of the country.
*Give everypony a buddy.
*Find some kind of a food stand so we can have more supplies.

After writing her list, she put the notebook and the quill in the bags.

"You girls, better hurry up and get inside. The train is about to leave," she spoke to the other mane 6 who were still outside the train.

Fluttershy had finally calmed down and had reluctantly sat down in the seat beside RD and AJ. AJ looked at Rarity and yawned.

"What do you think will be waiting for us when he get there? Do you have any idea where to find this here flower? I was also wondering if we would get the opportunity to fight any dragons? I'm pretty sure I can take em." she drolled hoping to get Rarity's feathers ruffled a bit.

She loved messing with the "fancy" pony on account she could snap like that. She was pretty sure Rainbow Dash was probably snickering at the moment from some of her comments.

"Dragons? Fight? Where!?" Fluttershy squealed hiding underneath the train seat. Apple Jack rolled her eyes at the reluctant pony and realized this was going to be a long train ride.

Fluttershy didn't know why they enjoyed picking on her so much. She wasn't the bravest pony, but did that mean that they had to tease her like they did? She was a gentle and easy going pony. Yes she was a little high strung at times, but she wasn't hard to get along with. Shaking under the seat she still wondered if she was doing the right thing by going with them. Maybe she should have stayed with Twilight. It would be more suited to her disposition than traveling across the lands to find a flower. Oh but she knew that at some point she would be needed. She was the kindness in the group. She also had the stare that could prove helpful in certain cases. Still staking she emerged from under her seat and looked out the window to watch the scenery pass. She looked over at Spike, lost in thought. She wanted nothing more than to comfort the small dragon, but she didn't know what to say, she was still shocked over what happened, so how could she offer words of comfort to him? Sighing and looking back out the window she passed the first part of their trip in thought.



Spike looked around at the ponies around him. How could they be laughing and having anything like fun when, Twilight was in trouble? He couldn't understand it. These were her friends and they didn't seem to be taking this seriously. Maybe it was just him. He was in a sour mood after all. He didn't like that. He wasn't the kind to keep a sour mood long but this one just wouldn't go away. Then he caught AJ's comment and saw his chance to change the mood of the whole trip. Twilight wouldn't want them to be sour and down the whole time. She would want them to be themselves and they were a happy bright bunch. So Spike come up with a plan and it stared with Aj's comment.

"If you want to fight a dragon," he started standing on the back of AJ's seat, "You can start with me!" He jumped onto her back, play growling and hissing. He even threw in a little of his green fire for show. "I am the fierce dragon Spike!!" He said in his big dragon voice. "RWAR!!" he laughed. He hoped his plan worked, they needed to be themselves or this would be a long trip.

Rarity laughed when he saw Spike acting like a scary dragon. She was glad to see he was trying to be like himself. Rarity hope Spike would goof around more during this trip because it would help calm his nerves.

Soon the train started to pull out of the station and they made their way to Python. Rarity looked out the window and watch the landscape go by. She prayed that their trip would be a safe one and that they wouldn't come across any dangers. Also she hoped that could meet some dragon that would be willing to guide them through the country. She wished that Celestia had a map of the country, but seeing how everypony stayed clear of dragons nopony knew what the country was like.

She looked over at her friends and said, "When we get there we need to find some dragon that can help us. If we don't then we'll be wondering around."

Applejack was startled when she felt Spike jump on her back. She just laughed at his comment before grabbing him by the tail in her mouth, She pinned him down on the ground and began to tickle him without mercy. She was happy to see Spike in a better mood. She wanted him to enjoy the trip as much as possible and have a good time. Applejack stopped tickling Spike and let him go after hearing Rarity’s comment.





“I don’t much trust them dragons…They’re all a sly bunch I hear. We’ve got to be careful or one of em might lead us right into a trap. I’m sure ponies are on their menu…” she told the manicured pony and then she got a bright idea.





She peered down at Fluttershy who was hiding under the seat, “Hey Fluttershy you’re pretty good with animals…Do you think you could do that stare trick you used on that dragon back in ponyville?” she inquired hoping for a yes.

Jewel arrived at the train station was located near the border between Equestria and Python.  The train station was on the side of Equestria and the railroad tracks stop right at the border between the two countries. Jewel stood on the station's deck disguised as an Earth Pony and was wearing a train station uniform.  Her mission was to greet the mane 6 and Spike and point them in the direction of Python. Then once they head to the country she had to secretly follow them and eventually approach them as a friendly dragon.

Fluttershy looked up at Applejack. "I-i dunno." she mumbled. "Maybe." She didn't feel very much like trying either and she hoped she didn't have to. She looked around and decided it was time to get out from under the seat. She slowly climbed back on top of the seat and tried to relax. She was a rather high stung pony lately.

Spike smiled and sat down next to Rarity again. "I wouldn't worry to much girls, it only makes you stress." He looked out the window. "Besides even if she isn't here physically Twilight will be with us, we can't get lost!" He was trying to sound brave again.

He let out a deep sigh as the train pulled into the station. Suddenly he didn't feel very brave.

"Yes, girls we must not worry too much. Worrying causes wrinklies after all. Besides Twilight wouldn't want us to worry about her," spoke Rarity agreeing with Spike. "Oh, look we're finally here."

Jewel was beginning to nod off when she heard a loud noise coming from the distance. She perked her head up and saw the train rolling into the station. As it rolled in she could see the mane 6 and Spike  through the windows. She put on a friendly face and when they got off the train, she greeted them.

"Howdy!" she said. "You must be Princess Twilight friends! Princess Celestia sent me a letter informing me about your arrival." 

Rarity pushed her hair out of her face and spoke, "Nice to you meet. Glad to see that the princess is looking out for us."

"Yes," said Jewel. "Now, I can't leave my post, but I can show you which direction to walk in to get Python." She then walked to the other side of the train station and pointed south. "Python is straight ahead. Just keep going straight and when you see a dragon you know you made it. Sorry, I can't point you in the location of the flower. I have no clue where it could be. Us ponies who live out here stay away from them dragons. "

"Oh, I don't blame you darling," replied Rarity. "Some can be really nasty, but then there are some who are sweet." She then patted Spike on the head. "Alright everyone, let's move out." Rarity then headed off in the direction that Jewel pointed to.

"Good luck!" said Jewel.

Spike didn't care for this place. It was well wild. He didn't like it. He would much rather be in the library with Twi again than here, but to go back to their library they needed to find the flower. He smiled as Rarity patted his head and followed the new pony's directions in his head. "Well we might as well get started." He said shouldering his bag and looking off into the distance. "Hold on Twi, we're nearly there." He said to the wind. He hoped she was still ok.

Fluttershy took some persuasion to get off the train, by persuasion it took Applejack and Dash one pulling and the other pushing to get the scared pale yellow pony off the train."But really now girls, this can't be a good idea." She stammered. Oh she wanted more than anything to be back in her cottage with Angel Bunny. She tried to turn back and get on the train but it was pulling out of the station and headed back.

"Dont worry Fluttershy," Spike said over his shoulder. "it'll be back." He smiled. In that smile she saw just how scared Spike really was. 'Oh Dear.' She thought 'If he can be so brave when he's so scared then so can I.' Something roared in the forest and she jumped. 'Well I can try.' She said and got her bags.

"Right then, which way to Python?" She asked her voice only shaking a little this time. She followed the rest towards the home of the dragons. Spike and Rarity leading the way, Fiuttershy held her head high and tried to pretend to be brave.

Spike fought tears as the started off. He couldn't understand why, he thought he was all cried out. He wondered if something had happened, but then it couldn't have. He was just tired and still upset about this mess, that had to be it. He wiped his eyes and put on a smile. The others didn't need to see him cry right now. It would only slow them down. His mantra came softly from his scaly lips. "Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for thou are crunchy and taste good with ketchup." He said this over and over to make himself feel just a little better, but also to remind him that he was going to a place where the full grown dragons were. He wondered if any of the dragons the came across would know why his egg was in Canterlot on the day of Twilight's test. He'd always wondered, did something happen to his parents? Was he stolen? That didn't seem likely to him. Celestia didn't seem the type to let that kind of thing happen, maybe he would find out while they were here. But his first and main goal was to find that flower.
